BUILDING SELF ESTEEM AS WELL AS A SMILE
There are many articles and blog posts about the benefits of a healthy smile as it relates to increased self-esteem, including more confidence, which carries over to a person’s interactions with their peers and, really, everyone they interact with. However, many of these posts don’t address the role of dentists in helping to maximize self-esteem throughout treatment. That’s where we at Chestnut Ridge focus much of our energy.
When patients come to our practice, they leave our office feeling confident. That and a healthy smile are the mission of all our doctors and team. We always focus on giving our patients the tools they need to keep their smiles healthy, but we also make sure that each patient feels great every time we meet. Here’s how:
- Every patient is unique, and dental care should be customized to work with that patient’s personality.
- We become friends. Every one of our doctors and staff is genuinely interested in what is going on in our patient’s lives. We love hearing stories of kids growing up, business promotions, and new houses…and we’re also there to lend an ear when things are tough.
- We are always aware that there is a person attached to the teeth we work on. A good dentist cannot be successful without paying attention to both.
